I am delighted to welcome you to Seaford College, both as Headmaster and as a parent.

Finding the right school is one of the most significant decisions a family makes, and I do not take lightly the trust you place in us when you choose Seaford for your child. What I can tell you is that when I first encountered this school, two things struck me immediately: the strength of the community and the remarkable breadth of what Seaford offers.

Seaford is a school with real character. It is co-educational, warm and genuinely unpretentious; a place where students are encouraged to be themselves. We have no interest in producing a particular type of young person; we are interested in sending each boy and girl into the world with self-knowledge, self-confidence and the kind of resilience that comes from having been stretched and supported in equal measure.

The academic life of the school is strong, and we are proud of what our students achieve, but a Seaford education extends well beyond the classroom. We welcome the academically gifted and those who find the examination culture a challenge; those who shine on the sports field and those who find their voice on the stage. Our aim, in every case, is to educate the whole person; to find the particular strengths of each boy and girl and enable them to flourish. It is often outside the formal timetable that a student finds their confidence, their passion or the friendship that will last a lifetime.

At the heart of all of this is pastoral care that is personal, proactive and real. Our staff know their students as individuals, with their own histories, anxieties and ambitions. The relationships here are what give Seaford its texture and warmth. That sense of community is not something we manufacture; it is something you feel the moment you arrive.
