Building the skills, confidence and sense of purpose to thrive in a changing world.
Sixth Form is an exciting time to discover your interests, try something new and begin shaping your future. It’s also natural for students and parents to have questions about what comes next. How will AI change the world of work? What opportunities will be available? And how can you prepare for a career that might look very different in five or ten years’ time?
We can’t predict every part of your future, but we can help you prepare for it. That’s the thinking behind Seaford’s bespoke Elevate Programme, followed by all Sixth Form students.
"Elevate is deliberately dynamic. As the world changes, the programme evolves with it, helping you prepare for new opportunities and challenges." Matt Williams, Headmaster
Alongside achieving the best possible academic results, we want you to leave Seaford knowing yourself, understanding what you can offer and feeling confident about creating opportunities for yourself.
You’ll have opportunities to develop leadership, communication, creativity, resilience, collaboration, problem-solving and independence. Whether you’re learning a practical skill, hearing from a guest speaker or working with others, Elevate encourages you to get involved and take an active role in future-proofing yourself.

A key starting point is getting to know yourself. What are you good at? What motivates you? What matters to you? And what gives you a sense of purpose?
Elevate gives you space to explore these questions and connect what you discover with your choices about university, apprenticeships, careers and life beyond Seaford. You don’t need to have everything mapped out. It’s about recognising your strengths, exploring possibilities and building the confidence to take your next steps.

An entrepreneurial mindset is about more than starting a business. It means learning to spot opportunities, identify problems, take initiative and create something of value.
Through Elevate, you’ll explore how to turn your ideas into action. If the path you expected isn’t there, we want you to feel equipped to consider another direction or create an opportunity of your own.
Communication and networking are part of this. You’ll learn how to talk about yourself and your ideas, build relationships and ask for advice, work experience, an introduction or simply a conversation.

Things don’t always go to plan. Applications may be unsuccessful, circumstances can change and everyone makes mistakes. Elevate encourages honest conversations about setbacks, helping you learn how to manage your own head, respond positively and keep moving forward.
You’ll also explore the relationship between business, purpose and social responsibility. Through discussion and examples, you’ll consider how organisations can create value while putting something back, and the contribution you would like to make.
