Year 9 entry for students aged 13
Year 9 is a traditional and popular entry point at Seaford College. Current Seaford students move seamlessly from Prep to Senior and we welcome new students from local state and independent schools as well as from further afield. We offer day, flexi, weekly and full boarding in Senior School. Entry may also be possible into Year 10. For more information, please contact our Admissions Team.
The closing date for registration for potential entry into Year 9, September 2029 is 1st October 2026, to be included in the first wave of offers made in January 2027. Registrations can be made after this date, but we cannot guarantee that an offer will be made in January 2027. Applicants will join a waiting list and offers will be made as and when places become available.

Visit Our Open MorningOur Open Mornings are designed to be relaxed and informal, giving families time to explore the campus with a student guide. This allows you to gain a genuine insight into our culture and ethos with opportunities to chat with our staff along the way. Arrange a VisitCome and see us in action during the school day! You will have a tour of Seaford with our tour guides and a student Prefect. The visit includes a meeting with our Headmaster, Matt Williams, to answer any questions you have about joining Seaford. |

Complete Registration FormIf you would like your child to be considered for a place at Seaford College Senior School, please complete the online registration form together with payment of the non-refundable registration fee. Registration is not a guarantee of a place. Registrations for Year 9 entry should ideally be made at least 3 years in advance. |

School Reports and ReferencesWe will ask you for your child’s most recent school report and any specialist diagnostic reports, if applicable. We will request an academic and personal reference directly from your child’s current school. Seaford College is a mainstream, non-elitist school that is academically non-selective. We use reports and references to ascertain not only whether your child will be able to access the curriculum, but whether they will be happy in the Seaford College environment. |

Complete Pre-TestingStudents registered for entry to Year 9, (13+) will be asked to sit the ISEB Common Pre-Tests, in Year 6, at their current school. These are age standardised computer tests which measure ability and attainment and include Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English and are designed so that students cannot prepare for them. Accept OfferOn completion of the admissions process, and if successful, an offer of a place will be made. A deposit of £2000 is required to secure the place. |

Welcome to Seaford SeniorWe appreciate that joining a new school can feel quite daunting. Our programme of induction events and opportunities to visit us at Seaford College is designed to help make the transition seamless and smooth. Our Senior School Year 9 Induction Day at the end of the Summer Term is a vital part of this process, students will meet their new peers, tutors and teachers and re-familiarise themselves with our campus. The day finishes with a BBQ for all students and their parents. At the start of the Autumn Term, Year 9 will take part in several bonding and team building experiences to help forge friendships and create memories. |
