Two of West Sussex’s newest Heads met up at Seaford College
Seaford College Headmaster Matt Williams welcomed Guy Musson, Headmaster of Westbourne House School, to Seaford’s Cross Country on Friday.
The two schools have enjoyed a long-standing relationship, with students from Westbourne House regularly joining Seaford in Year 9 and continuing to flourish across all areas of school life.
Former Westbourne House students have achieved top GCSE and A Level grades at Seaford, with many taking part in Seaford's Scholars’ programmes (academic and co-curricular), while also excelling in music, performing arts, outdoor pursuits, DofE, CCF (Combined Cadet Force), Art, Design & Technology, sport and charitable activities.
With both Westbourne House and Seaford College popular choices for families in the Chichester area, Matt and Guy are looking forward to building on the strong relationship between the two schools.
Matt said: “It was great to welcome Guy and his wife Milly to Seaford today. Westbourne House and Seaford have a long-standing relationship, and we’re always delighted to welcome their students into Year 9. They arrive extremely well prepared for the next stage of their education and go on to make a significant contribution to life at Seaford. As two new Heads, I’m really looking forward to working with Guy and developing the relationship between our schools further.”
Guy Musson, Head of Westbourne House, added: "As an independent prep school, we pride ourselves on finding the right senior school for each child. I have recently enjoyed visiting a wide range of senior schools across the country where Westbourne House children have gone on to thrive in recent years. These relationships are so important. Meeting Matt today, I am confident that links between our schools will remain strong in the months and years to come. Westbourne House pupils leave us at the end of Year 8 with a 'can do' attitude, thanks to the wide range of opportunities they have at Westbourne to find their strengths. It is wonderful to see how our pupils continue to develop their passions at Seaford College and I am particularly proud to see an Old Westbournian in the role of Head Boy."
