Seaford Prep School's Maths Week Video

A fun and engaging week for our Prep School students.

Join us for some festive joy at Seaford College.

Prep School students of all ages recently took part in an inspiring 3-day workshop as part of Maths Week.

Barney Maunder-Taylor, an Oxford-educated mathematician, entertainer and founder of the House of Maths, ran the activities aimed at showing how much fun the subject can be. He used a combination of numbers, shapes and patterns, and even some maths ‘tricks’, to encourage students to see maths as something you can “pick up and play with”.

“The sessions helped to show students how maths is a part of everyday life and everywhere,” said Toby Cutler, Prep Teacher and Key Stage Coordinator Maths & Computing. “Students came away very excited about maths.”
