Prep School Gardening Club - Harvest Time

A bumper harvest for our Prep School students.

The Prep School Gardening Club members were celebrating a bumper crop of vegetables this week – including a whopping pumpkin.

The students from Years 4 to 6 planted seeds in the spring and looked after the vegetables with the help of Prep Teacher Clare Gray.

This week, along with the pumpkin, they harvested chard and spring onions. And there’s more to come, such as butternut squash, in the weeks ahead.

The children are hoping to make something with the vegetables, said Clare.
