Sport in the Senior School
SPORT AT THE SENIOR SCHOOL
All students at the Senior School have the chance to participate in a wide variety of sports and have full use of Seaford’s outstanding facilities. Sport at the Senior School is defined by a high level of engagement and enthusiasm. We have a thriving Saturday Fixtures programme where every student has the chance to represent the School in competitive matches. Saturdays are a highlight of the week where students and parents can enjoy sport in our fantastic surroundings. Our philosophy is to develop personal qualities through sport, and enjoyment is at the heart of everything we do.
In the Winter Term, boys play rugby and girls play hockey.
In the Spring Term, boys play hockey and girls play netball.
In the Summer Term, boys and girls play cricket, tennis and athletics.
In Year 9, PE lessons are taught in line with the GCSE Curriculum with a view to students taking up the subject at GCSE level. From Year 10 onwards we offer examination PE at GCSE, BTEC and A Level. The PE curriculum also covers health related exercise, volleyball, swimming, badminton, tennis, handball, dance, and orienteering.
