A Prestigious National Award for Seaford Geography

We’re delighted to announce that Seaford College has successfully achieved the Geographical Association’s Secondary Geography Quality Mark (SGQM).
The SGQM is a prestigious national award that recognises high-quality geography education and celebrates excellence and progress in geography leadership, curriculum development, teaching and learning.

Achieving the Quality Mark involves a rigorous process of reflection and assessment, with schools required to demonstrate and provide evidence of the quality and impact of geography across their curriculum.
David Willcox, Head of Geography, said: “I am incredibly proud of the Geography team at Seaford for achieving this award. It recognises the department’s hard work, expertise and passion for the subject. Geography students at Seaford benefit from an engaging and ambitious curriculum that fosters geographical curiosity, nurtures a genuine passion for Geography, and supports the highest levels of academic attainment allowing student to reach their personal bests.”
