Remembrance Sunday 2021
Congratulations to every person involved in our magnificent and most poignant Remembrance Day service

Seaford College welcomed parents and staff to our first Remembrance service post lockdown, this made the event even more significant and emotional. Headmaster John Green said: “I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate every person involved in our magnificent and most poignant Remembrance Day service. The choir, CCF, orchestra and readers were simply outstanding and it was so nice to see a reduced congregation watch the service live. My Marketing Team then live streamed the service, the online viewing audience included many Old Seafordians tuning in from all over the globe, including Los Angeles, Nigeria, Dallas and New York! Once again, my sincere thanks to all those students and staff who made the day so special. Most importantly, it was also nice to return to a near bit of normality.

All students and staff also played their part last week by laying crosses by our Chapel as an act of remembrance. Many have remembered members of their family who are associated with the services, as well as close family relatives and Old Seafordians who died in the wars.”

Our Chaplain, Fr Colin blessed the crosses and spoke to us about why it’s important to have an act of remembrance: “Remembering is a form of prayer. To remember someone is to bring them before God; what they did, how you feel, and asking God to bless it.”
Our Remembrance Service live stream video, the service starts at 5:00

In the afternoon we had a Mixed Hockey match for Seaford students and alumni. Here is a video of the event.
