World Class Facilities
We are very proud at Seaford College to have some truly excellent facilities across the campus. On top of outstanding boarding houses and classrooms, we have a wonderful building dedicated to Art, Design, and Technology, which is always filled with the exceptional creations of students past and present.
The Music department benefits from a recital room, specific areas for bands to practise in, and a high quality recording studio.
Students can train on first-class sports facilities, no matter their chosen sport. Few schools can boast their own 9-hole golf course and driving range, and our sports facilities include an all-weather hockey AstroTurf pitch, seven rugby pitches, six tennis courts, five outdoor netball courts, two indoor netball courts, an athletics track, a covered swimming pool, and a double sized indoor sports hall that allows tennis, netball, hockey, and many other sports to be played all year round. Cricket facilities include a nine cricket pitches, two outdoor cricket net facilities, two portable cage nets for grass practice and six indoor nets, 15 outdoor nets, during the autumn and winter terms, we have a marquee which sits over three artificial wickets, and this is the venue for the Winter Performance Programme.
Since Headmaster John Green joined Seaford, he has embarked upon a clear plan for continual investment in new, state of the art facilities to provide an even better environment for our students. This has included the swimming pool being covered, the opening of The Johnson Centre a new Performing Arts and Sports Hall, complete with an indoor climbing wall, dance studios, cardio gym, strength & conditioning suite, spin room, and a performing arts centre able to accommodate more than 700 students, a new outdoor education centre, and the redevelopment of the Sixth Form Centre, English classrooms, and a Library. These developments have offered students at Seaford even more of a chance to discover their passions and achieve their personal bests. The changing facilities near the hockey pitch have also been redeveloped.
In September 2025 Seaford College Prep School opened the Wilberforce Woodland Wing as it welcomed its first cohort of Reception Pioneers. The Wing includes a covered outdoor classroom. In 2026 the new sports courts and Prep School playground & well-being facilities on Springfield will open. The master development plan includes further projects over the coming years.
These new developments will add immensely to the all-round, dynamic and inclusive education we are all so proud of at Seaford. Indeed it is an incredibly exciting time to be involved with Seaford both inside and outside of the classroom."
