Duke of Edinburgh
The College is delighted to promote this highly respected scheme and many students are involved at Bronze, Silver, and Gold award levels.
This voluntary activity gives participants the chance to develop as a more rounded person, committing time and energy to a wide range of pursuits and services. Training for the Bronze expeditions takes place during CCF time, and we assist participants through the other sections of the award during prep mid-week. At Silver and Gold level, students conduct additional training during activity time and at weekends
Duke of Edinburgh awards are a great recognition of self-reliance, determination and drive, they are valued by future employers and universities, and make a great addition to any CV. Outdoor pursuits include weekend activities, kayaking, climbing, mountain biking, sailing, and water sports. Seaford has a fantastic location at the foot of the South Downs, which we take full advantage of.
