Year 9 students spread the Christmas joy at Seaford!

Chloe Carrubba’s Year 9 English students wrote and produced a Christmas book that they read to our Prep School students.

In this video, they talk about the process of creating the story as a group, how it’s illustrated and what they’ve learnt from doing it. They even plan to publish it!

“They’re all very passionate writers,” said Chloe. “And they’re taking it very seriously.” The story is based around a central character, a candy cane, that’s accidentally brought to life by Father Christmas and then goes on a journey delivering presents.

Student Vaughn Hughes, the manager of the project, said: “Everyone that has lived in a different country got to write a chapter set in that country – places like Vienna, Morocco and Paris. We’re looking forward to seeing the reactions of the Prep School students.”

At the end of the video our Prep School students talk about their favourite parts of the book, it’s a very cute ending to the video and we love this fantastic project that brings our motto ‘Love to learn’ to life!

Well done to everyone involved and Merry Christmas everyone!
