Congratulations to all of the Seaford students who competed in the WSSYSA Regatta 2019 at the weekend.
Seaford took part in a total of six races over the weekend, with 2 discards (so only best four results counted). The team had decent wind on Saturday, however it was dying off on Sunday, especially later in the day.
Overall results for Fast Handicap fleet:
5th - Ollie Randall-May (best placing 3rd) sailing a Laser Radial
6th - Tom Lawson (best placing 5th) sailing a Laser Radial
9th - Francis Gee (best placing 7th, twice) sailing a Laser Radial
11th - Oscar Pitman (best placing 10th) sailing a Laser 4.7
13th - Tom Twist (best placing 4th. Tom only raced on Sunday due to a rugby match so had to carry a 33 point penalty for the missed race that was still counted, otherwise he would probably have been in the top 5) sailing a full rig Laser
29th - Ben Cotton (best 22nd - only just moved up to sailing Lasers, Ben is still gaining experience) sailing a Laser Radial
31st - Molly Ayling (best 19th, unfortunately she was unwell on Sunday, so didn't race & had to carry a 33 point penalty for missed races) sailing a Laser Radial

Paul Harker, who runs the sailing at Seaford said: "Overall it was a great set of results with Ollie Randall-May picking up a trophy for the 3rd Laser Radial and Oscar Pitman a trophy for the 1st Laser 4.7. Seaford came third in the team prize!".
