A huge thank you to parents, students, and staff that have donated to our Lent campaign to support local Food Banks.

Lara Stitt who works on the campaign said: “When we first set up the Lent campaign a couple of weeks ago, we had no idea that we would be in such volatile times within weeks. On the first week, we took 100kg and last week we took 140kg of donations to the Food Bank.

We are visiting the warehouse weekly to ensure that we are doing something to help and support the local Food Bank when it is most needed."

We have another collection in the morning. If anyone can donate tomorrow morning, these are the items that are needed:

Tinned Meats
Tinned Vegetables
Smash
Jam
any of the regular items

These photos are from our visit last week where students helped volunteers at the Food Bank.

Colleen Hayes and Pasquale Giannitti who took the group said: " We were working in the warehouse today and the jobs we were given were sorting out the donated food into date order. Putting the food into the relevant sections (pasta, rice etc.), collecting donated goods from the delivery van and bringing it into the warehouse, unpacking and weighing the donated goods.

Our students were great and worked really well with the volunteers."
