An exciting hockey tour to Barcelona for our senior squads.

Seaford hockey students talk about their recent tour to Barcelona to play against some of the best under-18 teams in Europe.

The boys’ and girls’ senior squads travelled to the Real Club de Polo Barcelona earlier this month to play several games against teams from around the world.

Ben Barnes said it was a great opportunity to experience a very high standard of hockey and for the two squads to spend time together, and watch and support each other.

Tour Captain Tom Thornton said Seaford competed well against what he called “a completely different level of hockey”. “It showed how great we were as a team,” he added.

Lily Eitel said that it was a big learning curve for the girls and that the team was able to see where its strengths and weaknesses were.

“The students were also able to make friends with people that they could bump into for the rest of their lives,” said Ben.
