With over 60 auditions for this year’s Seaford’s Got Talent Competition, there were some amazing performances from a wide range of acts including solo instrumentalists, bands, dance routines, singers and even roller-skaters.

The final, held in the Johnson Centre was hugely entertaining and the four judges, Mrs Hawkins, Mr Follows, Mr Vernon and Ms Johnson were justifiably complimentary in their feedback to all the performers.

We even had a performance from Head of Seaford Prep, Al Brown. He had the audience on their feet as he sang Maverick’s ‘Dance the Night Away’ and was joined at the end by all of our wonderful performers. He told us: “I can now genuinely say that I know what it feels like”.

During the interval the marks that the judges had awarded were totalled and the four acts that moved forward for the audience vote were; the Year 4 Group, Eva Payne on her ukulele, Lily and Ella Mitchell and Blue Wilmott. Mr Follows was keen to point out though that: “Every single one of you is a winner in your own right”. Everyone who took part was awarded with a star to wear on their blazer.

Congratulations to runners up The Year 4 Group and to winner Blue Wilmott for his spectacular rendition of Freya Ridings’ 'Lost Without You'.
