Our Year 11 Careers Talks have been really popular this term through our Connected Learning platform.

Head of Careers, Angela Loten, said: "As part of the Year 11 Careers programme, a number of speakers have been lined up to cover different areas of the job market. The Year 11 and Year 12 pupils have already had the opportunity to listen to talks on careers related to Science, Business and Finance, Marketing, Technology and Film making.

Local businessmen Brad Ainsworth and Ranald Lloyd-Williams told the story of how they set up their businesses, and Seaford parent Joanna Webb talked about the many opportunities available in the world of modern technology. Seaford staff Andy Richardson (our Scientist in Residence) and Sarah Twigger (Director of Marketing) shared their experiences of work in Science and Marketing. All speakers answered questions on the day but are more than happy to respond to any further questions or queries if any student would like to get in touch."

In March the final set of speakers will be talking about work in the fields of sport, the airline industry and caring and counselling.

The Careers pages on Firefly are kept up to date with information as it comes in and there are a few ideas for webinars, work experience or internships: https://seaford.fireflycloud.net/student-room/careers
