Our Academic Lectures are back by popular demand.

Following the success, during the last lockdown our Academic Enrichment Lectures started last week with our Head of History, James Gisby. He spoke about: Has the image of the tank matched its battlefield performance?

James Gisby said: "The lecture went really well. I enjoyed it and I forgot how much I love armoured warfare. A good 24 students turned up, a mixture of boys and girls. I made the presentation accessible for everyone in Years 7 to 13."

Edward Gordon-Thomson, Year 11, added: “Mr Gisby’s talk was just great as I knew it would be. I love having the time with teachers to discuss and listen to their huge passion and knowledge about subjects that I too am keen on. It was all fascinating, but I particularly liked looking at how the scenario and details of each conflict determined how the tank was used and thus how it is remembered.”

Dr Richardson is speaking about Biochemistry in his lecture today. Follow the link to Firefly for more information and to sign up. This lecture is open to everyone in Years 7-13 and you can sign up on Firefly. It starts at 4.30pm, enjoy!
