Parents were invited to the last rehearsal of the year.

Seaford parents were regaled with some stirring music this week as the College Orchestra hosted an ‘open rehearsal’…with tea and cake.

Students were also joined by professional musicians and members of the Seaford Community: teachers, Alex Urquhart, Jonathan Molas-Moss and parent, Ed Hawkins. This made the whole experience even more special for the students. The Orchestra played ‘Chariots of Fire’ by Vangelis, ‘Pomp and Circumstance’ by Elgar and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ by Zimmer.

Jenni Hawkins, Head of Academic Music, said: “This was our last rehearsal of the year, and it was wonderful to invite parents in to see what the rehearsal process is like and to hear the end result. The students played brilliantly, and it was a pleasure to conduct them. Much fun was had by all!”
