We caught up with Sophia Johnson, from Year 8, who was on the CBBC show 'Step Up to the Plate'.  Sophia spoke about what it was like to film during Covid times and her experiences as a Maître D’ on the show.   She had different scenarios to deal with, such as dealing with difficult customers, and Sophia said: “The skills I have learned at Seaford, like thinking on my feet, time management and resilience really helped me on the show.”

Sara Reynolds, Director of Performing Arts said: “We are so proud of Sophia for not only going through to the finals of 'Step Up to the Plate', but most importantly for representing Seaford in such a responsible and mature way. She proved that her skills as a Maître d’hôtel were not only top notch, but her team skills were clearly on point throughout. Well done, Sophia!”
