Our latest podcast is from Deputy Head Boy, Tom Jillians, on the subject: How did the Chernobyl incident affect Eastern Europe and lead to the downfall of the Soviet Union?’.

Our Academic Enrichment lectures over lockdown were very popular and Tom shared his knowledge from his EPQ and gave an hour-long lecture to Years 7-13 about the Chernobyl disaster. This inspired questions from an inquisitive Year 7 student as well as an interesting discussion with one of our boarders from the Ukraine.

Our Head of History, James Gisby, organises the Enrichment Lectures and said: “I was so incredibly impressed with Tom's Enrichment Lecture. His session was of such a high quality he would not have looked out of place alongside qualified and experienced teachers! The depth of his research, the manner in which he delivered and the subsequent engagement from students were first-class. We are very proud of Tom here at Seaford and he should be proud of himself.”
