Part of the Seaford ethos is about celebrating success and personal bests and that is exactly what we did last week.

Following a momentous day at the Royal Windsor Horse Show, where our Equestrian Team competed against other top schools in the UK and came 2nd, our Headmaster John Green invited them and Seaford’s Equestrian Team Manager, Lucy Sanders for a celebratory tea.

Flora James, Beanie Bradley and Jessie Schute were proud to talk about their accomplishment. They explained the effort that they need to put in to their sport, getting up at 5.30am to look after their horses before school. John Green was impressed by their effort, energy and enthusiasm. When asked by one of the girls about his own horse riding, he admitted that he had never ridden a horse!

Lucy joined Seaford four years ago and has taken the Equestrian Team from strength to strength. She is incredibly proud of all the girls, telling us: “It doesn’t matter that they came second. They are all winners to me. The dedication and commitment they have shown has been phenomenal”.
