Senior School Admissions

Steps for Senior - Year 9 (13/14 Years Old)

Registration

Following a visit, if you would like your child to be considered for a place at Seaford College Senior School please complete the registration form as soon as possible and return this to Admissions together with payment of the £100 registration fee. This ensures that your child will be considered for selection in the year group, but it is not a guarantee of a place.

We advise registering your child at least 3 years prior to when you would like them to join.

Pre-entry tests

Registered students looking to join Seaford College at 13+ (Year 9) will be asked to sit the ISEB Common Pre-Tests in Year 6 at their current school. These are age standardised computer tests which measure ability and attainment and include Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths and English and are designed so that students cannot prepare for them. For more information on these tests, please visit the ISEB website.

We are an inclusive, non-elitist school that is academically non-selective. We use the ISEB Common Pre-Tests to ascertain not only whether your child will be able to access the curriculum, but whether they will be happy in the Seaford College environment.

Offers

On completion of the pre-entry tests, Seaford College will make an offer based on references, school reports and pre-test results mid-January.  We will also take into consideration any level of learning support that a student needs.

A deposit of £2,000 is requested in the offer letter to secure a student's place at Seaford College Senior School.
