LAMDA is a fantastic way to improve confidence, acting and delivery skills, and is a fun and active way of enjoying Drama.
LAMDA is a drama school in London offering various courses to actors and to those interested in backstage, lighting, and directing. It also offers external exams for students not only in the UK but internationally as well.
Students can take exams in Mime, Musical Theatre, the Speaking of Verse and Prose, Choral Speaking, Public Speaking, Solo Acting, Duologue and Group Acting, and Devised Acting, starting at Preparatory level and going on through the grades to Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals (Grades 6, 7 and 8).
The LAMDA team at Seaford are experienced in Theatre and the LAMDA syllabus and offer one set of exams per annum, usually in the Summer Term.
Lessons are thirty minutes each and take place during break times, lunch time, and after school. Sixth Form students usually come in their free periods during the day.
LAMDA is aimed at all age groups from the Prep School through to Year 13.
