Rhymes and Rhythms

There is perhaps no greater joy for a teacher than watching a child’s eyes light up at the rat-a-tat rhythms of a great book showcasing the fun that can be had with words. “Pittery-pattery-skittery-scattery, zip round the corner came Zachary Quack”. “I’m Yertle the Turtle, oh marvellous me, for I am the ruler of all I can see”.  A world where books creatively use rhyme and rhythm to stimulate the imagination is one of endless possibility and fun."
