Seafordstock 2017 was certainly a night to remember. We were blessed with an absolutely stunning evening for the occasion, the marquee outside Mansion House had been converted into a fantastic stage, and the hill outside Mansion House became packed with students, teachers and parents, keen to watch Seaford’s musical talent perform their very best.
There were performers from right across Seaford College, from the Prep School, Senior School and Sixth Form, and it was an absolutely glorious celebration of music. Several Seaford students had written and performed their own pieces, the Junior Choristers sang their heart out, and as the night unrolled some of Seaford’s more regular performers took to the stage.
What was so impressive was the range of acts that were on offer, and the talent both of the singers and the musicians playing a wide range of instruments, making it Seaford’s most varied Seafordstock yet. It was a triumph, and congratulations have to go to Sara Reynolds for organising the evening, and to the staff who helped her.
The festival was set up a few years ago, and continues to be a wonderful way to cap off a fantastic year at the school, celebrating the many, many talented students here. We will be saying a fond farewell to some students who have graced the stage for a few years, but we also welcomed some up and coming new talent to the stage.
But don’t just take our word for it! You can watch a few videos capturing the evening below! A big thanks to Peter Viccari, who took some of the footage that ended up in these videos.
