Further Details of the work carried out in the local community

Compass coaches very generously gave Seaford a free coach to help with the transport on the day; here is a list of projects and organisations that will benefit from the day:
1. Oakwood prep school – helping with reading and other activities at the prep school
2. Conifers Nursery – helping children at the nursery
3. Treasure Box Nursery – garden clearance, building fences, help the children
4. NEW Duncton Churchyard – painting the shed in churchyard and clearing the bus shelter.
5. Species watching – helping Graffham conservation society to count butterflies on the Southdowns, they have been carrying out a lot of conservation work and will use the survey to test how they are doing.
6. Air Ambulance – tour of airbase and hand over cheque £800 raised by Seaford students from 3 Peaks Challenge
7. Beach tidy at Bracklesham Bay – this year will include Seaford Prep School (Wilberforce) for the first time. This is work we have been asked to do because of council budget cuts
8. Bag packing at Sainsburys Chichester
9. Car Cleaning – Chestnut Avenue carpark, 10am-3pm
10. ABC Animal Sanctuary – West Chiltington
11. Dog Walking Climping – walking dogs for the Climping Dogs Trust
12. Brent Lodge, Animal Welfare Sidlesham – charity for injured birds that Steve Paxton & Walled Garden East Support. Helping sick birds, feeding and cleaning
13. Aldingbourne Trust – helping them to make wooden objects to sell. Help them sell their garden produce
14. Oakgrove College – help with outside work and gardening
15. Working with the Vulnerable at Whyke Estate Chichester – Using a list provided by social services carrying out jobs that are needed in the community
16. Graffham Nusery – reading & playing with the children at the nursery
17. Graffham Church – cleaning the church
18. Graffham War Memorial – cleaning the memorial. Removing graffiti and clearing the garden
19. Heyshott – Clearing shrub land
20. Bignor Park – clearing & gardening
21. Petworth Park & House – clearing weed from the pond
22. Carehomes-
a. Steyning – Jamie Pardy, Yolanda Gumpo, Lexie White & Annabelle Jefferies will be singing for the residents
b. Petworth
c. Pulborough
d. Bognor – Elizabeth House – residents will be taken down to Macari’s café for free coffee and cake. Thank you to Mr Macari for providing the free coffee and cake
23. Hosting Petworth Primary School at the College – 120 children will join us for a fun day of music, sport, drama & poetry. The Royal Marines – the visibility team is came in to do a demonstration
