seaford GCSE results

Seaford College pupils celebrated another successful crop of GCSE grades this year. The overall pass rate of A – C grades (including English and Maths) was again close to 70%.

An impressive pass rate of 95 % A – C was attained in English.

John Green who takes over as Headmaster of Seaford College in September said: “These results are due to the continuous hard work by pupils and staff, and I am delighted that so many of our pupils have realised their true academic potential.

“I am particularly proud of the way our pupils have prepared for their exams, many of them balancing a busy extra-curricular programme whilst still maintaining strong academic focus and rigor.

“At Seaford, we are extremely proud of our all-round education ethos and our incredibly strong reputation for providing a bespoke education to ensure that all our pupils achieve personal bests.”

Top performers include: Charlie Dimond (Lickford)  7A*and  2A’s; Stephen Doll  (East Ashling, Chichester) 6A*and  2A’s; Toby Hindmarsh  (Westhampnett, Chichester) 5A*and  3A’s;  Chloe Gooding (Chichester)  2A*, 6A’s’s and 1B;  Oliver Lawes (Aldwick, Bognor Regis) 5A*, 3A’s and 1B; Harry Leleu (Birdham, Chichester)  2A* and  7A’s; Sasha Loeffen- Ames (Bognor Regis) 6A*, 3A’s and 1B; Jack Shaw (Pethers, Haslemere)   4A*, 4A’s and 1B.

The results are particularly satisfying as Seaford  College is a non-selective school and admits a high percentage of students with dyslexia and other learning support needs.
