SUPA National Ladies Arena Polo Tournament

SUPA Ladies Arena Polo tournamentAt the weekend, Year 9 student Beanie Bradley went to the SUPA National Ladies Arena Polo Tournament. Joining up with girls from Cheltenham and Stowe to make up a mixed team, they won the highest level under 18 class.

Beanie reports for us here: Team Seaford, Cheltenham, Stowe. Our camaraderie was epic!

It was great to be asked to play in the SUPA Ladies Open National Championships at Black Bears Polo Club with two of my polo girlfriends, and to have the opportunity to represent Seaford again at this U18 level.

SUPA Ladies Arena Polo tournamentWe were strong from the start with good ponies loaned to us from Oxford Polo. We worked well together despite the weather, which was extremely windy with severe gusts causing the ball to fly everywhere. The arena ball is like a small football not like the plastic hard ball in field polo.

The girls played defensively. It was rough and a tough, ending with me taking a mallet to my chin in the last minute of the Finals! We gave it our all. I couldn’t have asked more from them. I am so proud that we held on to three straight wins. Victorious!

Team Seaford, Cheltenham, Stowe 3 – 0 Hurst
Team Seaford, Cheltenham, Stowe 3 – 0 Tudor Hall
Team Seaford, Cheltenham, Stowe 3 – 2 Heathfield
