Fantastic Medal Haul at County Athletics Finals

Inters Relay Gold winning team of Max Bracewell Rupert Blackwell Dom Easton Josh HarrySeaford College is a relatively small school, but always manages to punch well above its weight in athletics, and this year we managed to match last year’s record haul at the County Athletics Finals, with 3 golds, 5 silvers and 3 bronzes, with some fine performances.

Simon Ward won Gold in the Inters Javelin. Our Inters relay team (Blackwell, Bracewell, Easton and Harry) also won Gold, as did our Senior relay team (Matafwali, Goosen, Treasure and Jackson)

Rupert Blackwell and Simon Ward: Silver and Gold in the JavelinRupert Blackwell had a fantastic battle with Simon Ward for the Javelin, coming just short to take the Silver, and Olivia McDonald continued her long distance success with a silver in the Inters 3000m. Olly Crosdil had a Seasons Best in the Discus, taking Silver; Jacques Newell won Silver in the Inters Triple Jump, and the West Sussex West relay team, which included Angus Leaning, took Silver.
