Folk Night Success

20140624_192634_Pano (2)webSeaford’s Folk Night was a huge success with standing room only by 7pm.  It was a beautiful summers evening with performances in the marquee outside Mansion Terrace.  The night was full of songs ranging from Bob Dylan to traditional spirituals.  There were spectacular performances from the Seaford College Orchestra, Year 5&6 Strings, the Chamber, Chapel and Prep School Choirs and solo singers and musicians.  The night featured songs from Mumford and Sons, Bob Dylan, Sarah McLachlan, The Proclaimers as well as traditional spirituals and Scottish traditionals.  Sara Reynolds, Head of Voice & Choirs, said: “it was a great success and fun!  Thank you to everyone who supported us in the audience”.  John Green, Headmaster, said: “a fantastic and fun evening showing the immense depth of talent across the entire college.  It was lovely to see our sixth form pupils performing with our younger members of the Prep school which resulted in a standing ovation at the end of the evening by a bumper crowd which we were unable to fit into our large marquee.  Creative Seaford goes from strength to strength.”
