Old Seafordians Qualify for Final of Grafton Morrish

James Lynch & Max Farrant, Paul Sedwick & Neal Fox, Nick Tull (Capt) & Will Gilsenan and team coach Robert Mummery.

We are very proud of our OSGS team who beat the field in the qualifiers at North Hants Golf Club on Sunday 11th May 2014 in the Southern regional qualifiers of the Grafton Morrish.

Of the many entries from Public Schools all over the South of England The Old Seafordians finished top of the lot. The teams to beat 69 points were:

Seaford College [87], Canford [73], Marlborough [76], Wellington [72], Radley [73] and Sherborne [77].

Seaford College OS team comprised of the foursomes pairings of James Lynch & Max Farrant, Paul Sedwick & Neal Fox, Nick Tull (Capt) & Will Gilsenan. They spreadeagled the field and qualified in first place for the final by over 10 shots. Everybody played well in difficult windy conditions on a very demanding golf course. Special thanks go to Nick Tull in his role as team Captain, who did a magnificent job, both leading up to the event and during the competition. We are now looking forward to the finals at Hunstanton GC in Norfolk on Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th October 2014, the official practice day beforehand is on The Thursday 2nd October and the team will remain unchanged from those who played along with two reserves. The draw will be made on the longest day of the year 22nd June and we will then find out who we are drawn against. The finals are decided on a knock-out matchplay basis, so it will feel even more competitive on a head-to-head, Old college vs Old college basis.

The team would of course value your support at the venue where they will play for the trophy. More details to follow. Also many thanks to Robert Mummery for his ongoing efforts to help OSGS build. Exciting times for the players and any Old Seafordian wanting to connect to the golf side whether at an event or through the college. You can reach us at
