On his way to Cambridge…

Profir Partachi, who left Seaford College’s Sixth Form last year with 5 A Levels plus Pre-U Global Perspectives, all of which he took within one year, has just this summer completed his Cambridge entry STEP papers. Profir’s A-level grades were already impressive; A and A* grades in Maths and Further Mathematics respectively, plus A or B grades in Physics, Chemistry and Computer Programming.

Head of Maths, Steve Kettlewell reports that if Profir passes the STEP papers sufficiently well, and he expects that he has, having discussed some of his tactics in the papers, he will have secured his place at Kings College, Cambridge, on a full 4 year-scholarship to read Computing and Mathematics at Master’s level.

This is a fantastic achievement. Indeed, Profir did see some indication on his interview day that the Cambridge lecturers were very impressed by his academic achievements; he was asked at least twice “did you actually achieve all these A levels in just one year of study at Seaford College?!”

Mr Kettlewell, along with his academic colleagues and all of the Senior Management at Seaford, would like to offer their good wishes to Profir for his future at Cambridge. We hope to hear, in the very near future, how Profir’s academic studies are progressing.
