Visit to Berlin Huge Success!

During half-term, Seaford History students in Year 10 and the Sixth Form had the exciting opportunity to visit Berlin – a city which is central to their studies.

Visits to Checkpoint Charlie, the Berlin Wall, the Olympic Stadium, Wannsee, Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, Potsdam, the TV tower and the Brandenburg Gate (amongst others) all helped to bring both this historic city and the pupils’ GCSE and A-Level courses to life.

As well as being incredibly informative, the good atmosphere and humour of the group made the trip a real pleasure for both staff and students.

Given the success of this visit to Berlin, the History Department plans to run further trips for other year groups in the coming 12 months. These will add to the students’ historical and cultural understanding of the wider world.
